The RTO seized the buses for carrying inflammable items like stoves and diesel.

The school bus manager informed the school about the development immediately, so students would not be inconvenienced.
Some students of the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (DAV) School were to be picked up at 10.30 am, as they had exams later in the day."
'Think of students'
K B Kushal, regional director, DAV group, said, "Our students did reach the school for their examinations on time.
I hope the RTO inculcates a culture of safety in conductors who man school buses. We are with the RTO in their efforts to check people violating the norms.
However, we would appreciate if they also ensured the students are not inconvenienced."
Bharat Kalaskar, Dy Regional Transport Officer Navi Mumbai, said, "The owner of the six buses was fined Rs 9,000 for violating RTO norms.
We have also served a notice of permit suspension and licence suspension of these buses. Two stoves and diesel were also found in two of the buses.
The owner has been served notices several times for various reasons for not following norms for school buses, so we have to take action. Today was a routine check in which we found these buses."
