Mayor Snehal Ambekar yesterday unveiled a plaque in honour of slain journalist J Dey at the D-Mart square in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, near the spot where the mid-day investigations editor was shot dead on June 11, 2011.

The naming of the square as ‘J Dey Chowk’ is an initiative of BMC and the Mumbai Press Club. Dey’s wife Shubha Sharma (in blue) was also in attendance.
