Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Manikrao Thakre on Saturday met social activist Anna Hazare at Ralegan Siddhi. The meeting comes against the backdrop of Hazare's appeal during the Hisar Lok Saba by-election to the people, asking them to not vote for the Congress. However, on the same day, Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal called upon the voters of Hisar to hand down a "historic defeat" to the party.
"The country is looking at you. If you give a historic defeat to the Congress, it will be Anna Hazare's victory.
Teach them a lesson...," Kejriwal told a gathering in the area.
