The Kurla court on Thursday sentenced the three detained in the matter of the rape of the 23 year old US student from TISS to police custody until April 28.
Public prosecution argued that the accused needed to be sent to police custody for as long as was possible so that the requisite medical examinations, collection of evidence and detainment of the absconding three co-accused could be completed.
The three boys were Anish Pradeep Borkataki, Kundan Balinkumar Borgonain and Dev Singh.
