There were no shocked expressions, raised eyebrows or second glances, as fear took a backseat, and pride gay pride took centre stage.

For the first time in Independent India, gays stepped out of the closet and danced in gay abandon at the Liquid Lounge last night.
The DJ was belting the Dancing Queen, and it surely seemed like the Summer of 69 had made a grand comeback.
In another section, couples were celebrating their freedom to Jai Ho and Maa da Laadla. And getting from one section to the other was quite a 'touchy' experience.
As the night progressed, so did the couples on the floor. Shirts went for a toss, and clean-shaven chests made a grand entry to the chill of the air-conditioning.
The intensity and intimacy on the floor was enough to give Dirty Dancing a new level altogether.
At the time the clock struck midnight, the music was blaring, the drinks were flowing, and the crowd was lovin' it.
Surrounded by gyrating hips and lip-locked couples, the Maa da Laadlas had the time of their lives.
