The estimated growth of 7.9 per cent surpasses the national average of 7.4 per cent.

The Economic Survey of Maharashtra 2025-26 was presented in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Thursday during the ongoing 2026 budget session in Mumbai.

The survey provides an overview of the state’s economic performance and outlines projections for the coming financial year.

Maharashtra is one of the largest contributors to India’s overall economic output. The expected growth rate indicates steady economic momentum despite global uncertainties and domestic challenges.

Ashish Jaiswal, minister of state for finance, tabled the state’s economic survey in the state legislative assembly on Thursday.

The survey further mentioned that the state’s revenue receipts for 2025-26 are expected to be Rs 5,60,964 crore, compared with Rs 5,36,463 crore in the revised estimates for 2024-25.
