Three teenagers are now fighting for their lives in the ICU of a government-run hospital after the devastating accident.
The incident occurred around 19.30 hours, casting a shadow of sorrow over the bustling Mumbai evening.
Dilip Chatwani, an 80-year-old, was behind the wheel when he lost control of his car, leading to this tragic collision.
The young victims, aged between 17 and 18 years, were walking towards the railway station when the accident happened.
Authorities acted swiftly, admitting the seriously injured teenagers to a south Mumbai hospital's ICU for intensive care. Meanwhile, the driver has been detained by the police.
