A 50-year-old man, accused of abducting an 18-year-old girl, was beaten to death by her family members in Muzaffarnagar.
Tension prevailed in Kutesra village in the district when a man, allegedly involved in a girl's abduction was beaten to death by her family members, police said.

Deceased Shabbir (50) was accused of abducting Ruksana (18) who was missing since August 11, and was later found in Kutesra village.
A case was earlier registered against three people, including Shabbir, police said.
Six people, including girl's father, have been arrested in this connection, Senior Superintendent of Police B B Singh told reporters today.
Security has been tightened in the area after the incident.
In another incident, a tenth standard girl student was allegedly abducted by five youths when she was on her way to college in Miranpur town in the district, police said.
Later, the victim was found semi-naked in the fields and was sent for medical examination, they said, adding a case has been registered against the five absconding youths.u00a0
