The eyes of terror are still gazing at Mumbai with malignant plans in mind. Military intelligence has revealed to the home ministry that outfits like al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba have designs of taking film stars, politicians and people working in the city’s many skyscrapers as hostages.

Keeping the circumstances in mind, 17 Crime Branch officers have been provided training from Scotland Yard police and are now ready to manage such situations.
“These police inspectors and assistant police inspectors, who have been trained by Scotland Yard following the inputs, will handle the immediate situation till commandoes arrive in case of a terror situation,” said a police source.
Cops, including the new police commissioner, have been trying to make people aware of the situation and advising them on measures to be adopted.
Spokesperson of Mumbai police deputy commissioner Nisar Tamboli confirmed the news on the training of the 17 officers, but refused to comment on the terror input.
