Though education board assures fee will be reduced, dissatisfied parents continue strike

"We decided that the fee amount should be reduced," said Balchandra Bhesle, director of education, Pune.u00a0
However, parents on hunger strike refused to give up. "They haven't given us a clear structure of how much the amount would be reduced and thirdly, the school hasn't yet accepted that it will reduce fees," said Nilesh Mahajan, one of the protesting parents.

School administrator Balan, however, said "Nobody has intimated us about the deputy director's decision."
