At least 15 people were killed and more than 18 injured when a bus carrying pilgrims returning from the Amarnath shrine fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident occurred at 11.30 pm on Saturday after the bus skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Digdole. Ten passengers died on the spot and the rest at a hospital in Ramban, where the injured were taken. Police said some of the passengers were missing and they were searching for them.
