A 28-year-old Army jawan from Maharashtra was martyred in the unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan at the Line of Control in the Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday.

Jawan Yogesh Muralidhar Bhadane (28) hailed from Khalane village in Dhule district and was posted as a Lance Naik. Bhadane had sustained grievous injuries during the "unprovoked firing" by Pakistani troops, claims the Army. He is survived by his wife Poonam.

According to Army officials, "Bhadane had sustained injuries and rushed to hospital but succumbed to them. He was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty."
