29 pilgrims killed in Haryana accident

At least 29 pilgrims, including three children, on their way back from a shrine in Rajasthan were killed in a head-on collision between two trucks in Haryana's Bhiwani district yesterday morning.

Twenty-two people died on the spot, while seven others succumbed to their injuries in hospital, a police officer here said. The dead included 10 women and three children.

Cops said at least 25 people were injured in the accident, which took place near Sainiwas village in Bhiwani district. They were shifted to hospitals in Hisar town, 15 km from the accident site.u00a0
