The 122 passengers who were on board a flight which made an emergency landing in Pakistan have returned in a relief plane.

“A relief flight was dispatched to bring back the passengers of AI 940, with engineering personnel and material. The relief aircraft from Delhi returned with the stranded passengers at 5 pm,” said an Air India spokesperson.

Air India flight AI 940 from Abu Dhabi to Delhi while over flying Pakistan experienced a technical snag warning.

The flight made an emergency landing at Nawabshah Airport in Pakaistan at 4:15 am Monday morning.

The flight had 122 passengers on board and six crew members. The aircraft’s three hydraulic systems failed.

There are three hydraulic systems for these planes - two main and a back-up. If either of the main ones overheat, the back-up steps in, officials said.

However, in this case, all three systems collapsed.u00a0
