Activist Anna Hazare Saturday reiterated his stand on launching an indefinite protest from Dec 27 and a 'jail bharo' agitation from Jan 1 if the Lokpal bill was not passed in parliament's current session
"Our protests will begin from Dec 27, and on Jan 1 'jail bharo andolan' (agitation) will begin," Hazare told reporters here.

"However, if they pass the bill, there will be no protests," he added.

Hazare reached the city Saturday morning to hold a protest march at Freedom Park and to take forward the civil society's fight for a strong Lokpal.

"The bill will be passed in parliament and there will be no shortcomings in it," said Hazare, adding that it was for parliament to decide on reservations in the bill.
