In his discussions with Hindu holy men, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief also reiterated the RSS' commitment to build the temple at the site where the Babri Masjid once stood.

The 16th century mosque was razed by a mob on December 6, 1992.

Bhagwat also detailed the work carried out till date in connection with the temple construction.

Bhagwat is visiting Ujjain to participate in the three-day 'Vichar Mahakumbh' at Ninnaura in Ujjain. He inaugurated it on Thursday as part of the ongoing Simhasta Kumbh mela on the banks of Kshipra river.
