Famous for its cinnamon roll, America's favourite Cinnabon Bakeries has arrived in the country with its flagship store in the capital
If Dilli wallas can accept with open arms, the creativity of chefs and the aromas of varied cuisines, they also can discard a bad choice instantly and that too forever. That's why in the capital, restaurants very rarely go wrong with their presentations. But the same doesn't hold true for bakeries as Delhi still awaits its 'the bakery'. However, with the entry of Cinnabon, they perception might just change. Read on to know why.
Food
For starters, the menu here isn't elaborate. Choices are few but you wouldn't complain any pick. Considering the preference of Indian customers, they are serving only eggless products right now. The signature item here is the CinnaBon (Rs 99) - the classic cinnamon roll which is prepared using warm dough, and then filled with makara cinnamon (a special Cinnamon which is found mainly in Indonesia) and topped with freshly made cream cheese frosting. Served fresh and oven-hot, it's truly delicious. Its smaller version called minibon is priced at Rs 60. You can also opt for pecan bon (Rs 130), which is topped with pecans and smothered with rich caramel and if you have a princess appetite, grab a bite of mini pecan bon (Rs 80). Other options here include Cinnabon bites and CinnaBon stix (Rs 60 for four pieces). While the former is a bite-sized version of the classic roll, the latter is a delicacy dusted with sugar and makara cinnamon, which tastes best when dipped into the cream cheese frosting. "Keeping the core menu untouched, we will add more products through a focused research and development process to ensure its compatibility to the Indian palette," says Roger Narula, CEO, Dish Hospitality who has brought the brand to India. For those whou00a0 prefer take-away, these cinnamon rolls are available in packs of four and nine (Rs 190 onwards).u00a0
Drinks
In this section, choose from chilled specialty beverages called chillattas (Rs 80) and mochalatta chill (Rs 70). A hand-blended frozen refreshing beverage Chillatta is available in strawberry and mango flavour. A must try we say. For those who swear to die by chocolate, mochalatta is the perfect blend of chocolate and coffee. And for those who like their beverage 'hot' then the options include cafu00e9 latte (Rs 60), cappuccino (Rs 65), cafu00e9 mocha (Rs 75) and Assam tea (Rs 45) among others.
Ambience
Though more of a take-away place, this kiosk has a sitting capacity of around 30 people. And the service is prompt. Interestingly, whenever the rolls are taken out of the oven, the staff rings a bell and shouts 'hot rolls' so that everyone present in the mall comes to know about the lip-smacking snack. Interesting na?
