In a bid to make a scene look authentic, a film crew barged in an ongoing wedding and ransacked the place; have been summoned by cops for enquiry
In an odd incident, a group of rowdies barged in an ongoing wedding ceremony at Satya Pramoda Kalyana Mantapa in Shankarapuram on Sunday and ransacked the place.
Well, they were not real goons but crew of Deadly Soma-2, sequel to the popular Kannada flick, who wanted to bring in an element of reality in the scene.
However, their act landed them in trouble as the manager of the hall filed a complaint against them for menacing and shooting without permission.
"They had not taken any permission and shot the fight scene during the function, which left guests scared," said Rao who also requested the cops to give the crew an earful so that such a thing isn't repeated.
According to cops, Director Ravi Srivatsa was planning to shoot at the venue till Monday.
However, fearing the upshots, he decided to pack-up and leave the premises on Sunday itself. When MiD DAY tried to contact Srivatsa for his version, he remained unavailable for comment.
Meanwhile Vali Basha, inspector with Shankarapuram police station, said, that he has summoned the film crew for enquiry.
"We have registered a complaint against them for creating nuisance during a programme and will take necessary action against the guilty."
