Make Your Own Rakhi
Take a satin ribbon eight to ten inches long of any colour of your choice. Keep the width to quarter, half or one inch. In the centre, cut a paper into 2 cm diameter and stick it on the ribbon with glue. Take a ready rakhi ball or a cotton ball, sprinkle glitter and take a contrast colour and stick it on top of that. Decorate with sequins, glitter or anything you feel might add colour to your rakhi. Customise it by adding a motif your brother might like. To make things simpler you can even cut out the top layer of your last year's rakhis and tweak them to a new look and you have a hand crafted rakhi ready in a jiffy.
