Kolkata: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Wednesday arrested four more accused from various parts of West Bengal in connection with the Oct 2, 2014, Burdwan blast, an official said.

"Four more accused have been arrested from Nadia, Murshidabad and Birbhum districts in connection with the Burdwan blast. They are being produced before a city court," a NIA officer told IANS.


The accused have been identified as Habibur, Mohammad Dalim, Giasuddin and Motiur-rahman.



The accidental blast occurred inside a house in Khagragarh in Burdwan Oct 2 killing two Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) militants and injuring another.

Several people, mostly Bangladeshi nationals, have been arrested from India and Bangladesh in connection with the blast.
