CHICKEN TURTLE BURGER

Word has come around that Mumbai's favourite hangout, Sundance Cafe, will no longer bear its previous look as it goes in for an intense makeover over the next two months. Apart from its address overlooking the sprawling Oval Maidan, the caf ufffd is best remembered for its yummy Turtle Burger. But what makes this a special treat? For starters, how about a chunky patty served in a turtle-shaped bun? Called the Ninja Turtle Burger, a juicy chicken patty grilled to perfection, resides within its 'shell', served with crispy French fries. Chomp it down with a chilled beer and your favourite '60s number lingering in the background, this makes for a wonderful Sunday.
at Sundance Cafe, ground floor, Eros Cinema building 42, Maharishi Karve Road.
South Mumbai's favourite burger joint Sundance Cafe might be shutting down for good is what we've heard, although the owners claim it's downing shutters for a two month-long renovation. Either way, the city is about to lose its iconic Churchgate landmark. We wonder if they will still continue to serve their trademark Ninja Turtle Burgers.

LION BURGER FACES AN UPROAR

A restaurant in Arizona has faced criticism for serving Lion Burgers as a tribute to the ongoing FIFA World Cup in South Africa. It has received a bomb threat and around 250 emails from animal rights activists after the owners of the restaurant announced they would offer lion as a special to honor the soccer tournament. "We thought that since the World Cup was in Africa, the lion burger might be interesting for some of our more adventurous customers," says owner Cameron Selogie. The restaurant is offering Lion Burgers at $21, served with spicy homemade chips and roast corn on the cob. Selogie said that the lion being offered was raised at a US Department of Agriculture regulated free-range farm in Illinoisu00a0-- a key detail that has soothed the angry nerves of few protesters. "When we explain the facts on how the lion is raised, and most that we are not hurting the endangered animals, our customers seem pretty satisfied," he adds.
