The Delhi University (DU) authorities have banned the students from playing with colours during working hours in the colleges.u00a0 The University has asked all principals, head of departments and provosts of halls/hostels to form small committees who will check that no unauthorised persons enter the college premises.

"Beginning Friday till Sunday, students will not be allowed to enter colleges or hostels without showing their ID cards. Anyone found indulging in acts of harassment or indiscipline would be punished," said RK Sinha, Registrar, DU.u00a0 The police too will keep a strict vigil in the areas around DU campus and colleges. Mobile patrol squads will be deployed and cops will be placed at strategic points to ensure that girl students feel safe and secure.
