DU vice-chancellor to reply to queries on Facebook

In a meeting on Thursday with Delhi University officials, vice-chancellor Prof Dinesh Singh decided to open a page of his own on Facebook. The page would be formally launched on Monday.



When asked why Facebook, Singh said, "I think as the vice-chancellor I should be available for the students. By being in direct contact with the students I will get to know their problems better."

Though he will try to answer as many queries as possible, his office will take care of the account. "We have a number of issues which keep doing the rounds in the university but never reach the right ears. Having the V-C on Facebook we will be able to report our grievances directly to him," said Shalini Mehta, student, Miranda House.
