The three-day old restaurant at ABC Farms is complete paisa-vasool and offers dishes from all over Asia

Arc Asia is the latest eatery to come up near ABC Farms and it replaces an earlier Goan restaurant. Though Arc Asia had started operations just a few days ago, it still managed to impress us with their casual vibe and good food. The atmosphere was very chilled out and casual making it an ideal place to spend time with friends.

We were greeted by an attendant who led us to a lit table beside a huge tree. The interiors remain the same as they were earlier. We like the round lamps strung on the ceiling throughout the eatery. At the far end was the bar while various statues of Buddha were kept in the centre of the room.u00a0

The food available on the menu is from Pakistan, Burma, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and Sri Lanka, which forms an arc on the map.

We ordered a Satay Ayam (Rs 220) which arrived 15 minutes later. Considered as an Indonesian street food, the satay was tasty and was served with peanut sauce. But we found the chicken to be too chewy. It had a layer of peanuts, mixed spices and curry leaves, which we liked.

For the main course, we ordered the traditional Burmese Kauswe (Rs 150), Chicken Green Curry (Rs 170), Steam Rice (Rs 100) and Steam Noodles (Rs 100).u00a0 The Burmese Kauswe was served with a garnishing of mint leaves, coconut oil, deep fried onion, garlic, chilly oil, coriander leaves, sprouts, spring onion and chilies. The attendant served it with rice in a big bowl. We added the garnishing and it tasted yummy. The curry was made from carrots, baby corn, beans and broccoli and had a rich coconut flavour that complemented the rice.

The Green Curry was another traditional dish from Thai cuisine. It included brinjals and potato pieces. The curry was not on par with the Burmese dish but wasn't a total disappointment either. The attendants were attentive and informative. They patiently waited for us to finish our dishes, before serving the next.
