He made the comments yesterday during the inauguration ceremony of a photojournalism course initiated by the University of Pune, along with the Pune Union of Working Journalists. Sharing his experiences while capturing pictures of tigers in the Kanha forest in Madhya Pradesh, Thackeray drew parallels to a tiger’s behaviour in a jungle, where the wild animal does not allow others to enter in its territory.
“After a certain limit, tigers don’t allow anyone to enter their jurisdiction. A tiger gives an indication before attacking anyone by shaking its tail, warning them not to come forward,” said Thackeray.u00a0“Our party’s symbol is also a tiger, and we too will not tolerate if anyone enters our party’s jurisdiction,” said Thackeray, before adding, “We will not even give prior indication before attacking anyone.”
‘I too have a dream’
Mocking the ongoing gold hunt in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh, Thackeray said, “The union government started hunting for gold in the district based a Sadhu’s dream. I also have a Maharashtra of my dreams, and if we are voted into power, my party will ensure our state will shine like gold,” said Thackeray.
‘Click for joy’
Condemning the sting operations conducted by the media and people who are misusing the profession, Thackeray said photography should be a clean profession, and should not be used to blackmail anyone.
“Nowadays, amateur photographers click pictures to misuse them. However, I would like to advice newcomers in the photography field to click photos for the feeling of joy and satisfaction,” said Thackeray. u00a0
