An elderly couple from Shivajinagar has discovered purchases worth Rs 3.13 lakh made on their ATM card from various parts in the city.

An elderly couple from Shivajinagar has discovered purchases worth Rs 3.13 lakh made on their ATM card from various parts in the city.

The couple's daughter, Indira Vinod Krishna (58), had hired one Bhimrao Yemade from hospice care provider Swami Samarth Services between January 23 and January 31 to look after her parents, Ram (89) and Meera Keswani (79).

The complaint by Indira names Yemade as the main suspect. Yemade is absconding. Indira is a resident of Suryakiran Park in Shivajinagar.

Investigating officer in the case Police Sub-Inspector R J Karpe said the Shivajinagar police had filed a case of robbery and cheating under Sections 380 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
