Fire Brigade officials at Katraj fire station rushed to Sukhsagarnagar at 12 am.

They got a call from one Kshirsagar who claimed to have spotted a snake in the garden of a bungalow near his house.

Fireman Ramdas Shrinag Shinde caught the non-poisonous Dahaman or rat snake with deftness.u00a0 The snake was caught within 15 minutes of reaching the spot with the help of a special stick.

Shinde said, "The snake was hidden behind the tiles in the garden of one Lad. But we could catch him easily with the help of a special snake catching stick provided by the Fire Brigade." According to Station
Duty Officer Sanjay Ramteke, "The Fire Brigade received a call from Kshirsagar around 12 am." Shinde said, "The snake was seven feet long and we have handed it over to the animal orphanage at Katraj."
