Heavy Rain follows four characters hunting down a serial killer called the Origami Killer. Ethan Mars, who suffers from blackouts, depression and a fear of crowds after he lost his son in a tragic accident two years ago, now has to complete a set of trials if he wants to free his other son from the clutches of the Origami Killer, who has kidnapped him. He meets Madison Paige, a photojournalist who helps him while investigating on her own.
Meanwhile, Norman Jayden, an FBI profiler, who uses futuristic technology to analyse leads and evidence, and Scott Shelby, a retired-cop-turned-private-eye, seek out clues to the killer's identity.

The most striking thing here? The graphics. Seriously realistic, solid, and impressive. That apart, the music is just right, and adds anxiety to already tense scenes. The story's engrossing and bewitching enough for you to not realise the passage of time. The controls too add to the overall feel of the game, since they mimic life by requiring more complex button combinations for the tougher situations and simple manoeuvers for events that require quicker execution.
The best part, though, is that this isn't just for serious gamers. Various levels of difficulty ensure that even casual and new gamers can have a blast over the 12-13 hours it lasts.
