Madhav Shorey aka DJ Kohra's performance will feature his latest musical numbers from various records

If you are a fan of Jalebee Cartel, don't miss this performance by one of its founding members at Stone Water Grill. DJ Kohra aka Madhav Shorey is known for his experimentation with various genres of music including techno, minimal, electronic, classical, break and modern techno. He says that it challenges him and helps him test his boundaries.

For the upcoming performance, he will play a couple ofu00a0 upcoming tracks from his recording company -- Killer Records. "I will also perform songs that I am recording for an Australian record company Zenon. The focus will be more on experimental music," he says.

Speaking about his recording company, he says, "I do not want to give away the names of the musicians I am working with because it's too early. But trust me, they are some of the best names in the business."u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0

This particular gig is part of the Mocha Art House Technodrome festival. It's a four-city festival of emerging electronic music, visual arts and performances. With electronic music as the backbone of the series, the programming for each festival episode will have popular Indian artists and performers.

DJ Kohra is perturbed by the lack of musical knowledge among his fans and mentions that it's only for his fellow musician friends and the net that he is still continuing his career. "Most of the time, I meet people who have no knowledge of electronic or techno music. But they listen to it out of peer pressure or to be cool. I think we are pushing our boundaries too hard," he observes.

On a positive note, Kohra says that there are certain producers from India, who will create a niche for themselves. "If you ask me, Midival Punditz and Jayant Luthra are my personal favourites," he signs off. He adds that he still likes Jalabee Cartel's productions "though they now make music different from mine". Australia remains his favourite destination to perform as it's got the wildest crowd.u00a0u00a0
