A girl student was today beheaded in the campus of the prestigious St Xavier's College by a youth, who was later arrested, police said here.
"Kusum Kumari was beheaded with a sharp weapon in the campus of St Xavier's college, Ranchi by a young man who was identified as Vijendra Prasad," Superintendent of Police Sambhu Thakur told PTI here.
Kusum Kumari was a student of the college.
Thakur did not rule out love angle being the motive behind the killing.
