Mahesh Manik Bhosle (34) committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence at 8.45 pm yesterday. The deceased was a resident of Malhar Market apartments in Hadapsar's Magar lane.
Bhosle was rushed to the Sassoon Hospital by his wife and sister-in-law. "We were not home and heard about it when we came back. They seemed like a happy couple. In fact both of them were working and spent only a few hours at home. She must have found him when she came back from work," said a couple from the building.
Doctors at Sassoon Hospital said that he must have consumed poison a while ago, since he was brought dead on admission.
Hadapsar police said that investigations were still at an early stage and the reason behind his suicide was not clear. They added that no suicide note was found on him. On visiting his residence it became clear that only Bhosle and his wife resided in that flat.
