Sena-BJP candidate Anil Shirole promises clean-up drive against the banned outfit and illegal Bangladeshis, if elected
Anil Shirole, the Pune Lok Sabha candidate for the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance told MiD DAY that he will put all his might into stopping Bangladeshi infiltration into the city and eradicating the Students Islamic Movement of India
(SIMI), if elected.

He added, "False ration cards are being supplied to them with help from within the halls of power."
About SIMI, he said, "If SIMI is active in the city, how can we say Pune is a safe place. Eliminating SIMI will be the actual victory. And then I can say Eureka!"
Keeping fit
Apart from campaigning around Sinhgadh, Shirole also climbed up to the fort, which is situated on a hill that rises 800 m above the surrounding countryside.
Invigorated by the visit, Shirole said, "I climb the hill every Sunday at 5.30 am. This is not a problem for me at all as I prefer to stay fit."
