A 25-year-old Japanese tourist was gangraped by five unidentified men at Bodh Gaya in Bihar, police said on Saturday.

The five pulled the woman out of an auto-rickshaw carrying her to the Gaya railway station before committing the crime at an isolated place last night, Superintendent of Police, Sushil Khopade said. The victim lodged an FIR with the Amawa police station this morning, he said.

The Japanese woman is a resident of Itabolutachi in Tokyo and is currently on a tour of various Buddhist pilgrim towns in India. Two persons have been detained for interrogation, he said, adding raids are on in the area to arrest all the culprits.
