Life has been one crazy drive for the last two days for Milind Dharmasena, one of the star campaigners of theu00a0 state JD (S) unit.
Dharmasena took time off from his hectic campaigning schedule, so he could spend quality time with the new love of his life a Mercedes Benz E-class CDI.
Love story
Dharmasena is reportedly so smitten by the car he bought on Saturday that he has no time for anything else since he bought the car for an undisclosed sum.
Dharmasena, the JD (S) state general secretary, who features in the party's list of 41 star campaigners, is said to have bought the car in a hurry after he learnt that it was at one point owned by the actress.
Dharmasena is, of course, in no hurry to admit that it is the car's celebrity association that made it particularly appealing to him.
"Mercedes cars with German-made AMG accessories are the most sought ones. When I learnt that this car was being put up for sale, I lost no time in putting up an offer," said Dharmasena, who drove the car to the MiD DAY office.
"The costs of the Xenon headlights, the AMG interiors and accessories run into lakhs. I was looking for one in Bangalore and finally found this one. I am taking it for servicing," Dharmasena said.
The car, was until recently used by Ramesh Shetty, a close relative of Bollywood star Sunil Shetty, who also happens to be a car buff.

"I bought the car from Ramesh Shetty, the brother of leading Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty. However, that is not why I bought the car.
I went for it because it is a technological marvel," said Milind. However, automobile experts said Dharmasena's contention that the AMG accessories made the car particularly attractive was a little far-fetched.

"AMG produces accessories and performance products for Mercedes," said Prashanth Jodidhar, an automobile expert.
However, there is nothing special about it as there are many other brands that are as sought for their quality and exclusiveness as AMG."
