A 50-year-old jeweller was shot dead while his 30-year-old son suffered bullet injuries when they were attacked by an unidentified assailant in Mukherjee Nagar area of northwest Delhi late on Sunday night.
A senior police officer said that the deceased was identified as Sohan Lal.
"He (Sohan Lal) along with his son Sonu Chauhan were returning home on a scooter when they were attacked by an unidentified armed assailant.u00a0
Sohan received a gun shot on his abdomen and collapsed on the road. Sonu also suffered bullet injuries while the assailant fled from the scene. Sonu is undergoing treatment and the police are yet to record his statement.
