The Koramangala police are on the lookout for a private firm employee who allegedly instigated Deepanjali Avasthe, a 24-year-old software engineer to commit suicide.

Deepanjali hung herself from the ceiling fan on November 24, at her third floor paying guest accommodation at Jakkasandra I stage.

According to the police, Deepanjali was having an affair with Sandeep Singh, the accused. The duo recently had a break up, which may have resulted in her suicide.

Deepanjail's brother, Manish Avasthi, who filed the complaint, got to know from his sister's colleague that the duo used to have bitter fights. Sandeepu00a0 used to tell her to go die repeatedly.u00a0 Manish alleges that this is what prompted Deepanjali to take the extreme step.

Sujitha, her roommate, came home from work on November 25, and immediately alerted the landlady, who then alerted the police. Deepanjali, a native of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, had moved in with Sujitha two months ago.

Inspector Nagaraj from Kormangala police station said that a failed love affair might be the reason behind the suicide, though investigations are on to find the real cause.
