While a number of people have come forward with information on the two suspects in the German Bakery blast, no two descriptions are identical. Police sources said an artist made sketches at different times based on the description given by different people. About 10 sketches were made initially, and more later, as cops could not be sure. All sketches differ from one another. It has also been difficult to make sketches based on the blurry CCTV footage.
A Crime Branch official said, "There is nothing similar between the descriptions for the sketches, so it's impossible to use the output. Hence, we have not released them."
Even the ATS is not sure about the sketches, as they don't match anyone in their terrorist list. "Sketches are normally not much identical. Very rarely have we seen a criminal caught through sketches," said an ATS official.
"Theseu00a0 sketches also do not match any terrorists we suspect. To go with these is not going to help."
Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh had earlier said that the CCTV footage would help police make sketches.
But now that option seems closed, as investigating officers say it's not possible to make sketches from the blurry images.
