With more rains expected in days ahead, the district in-charge minister's new move has come at the right time.
After his stint of answering city woes from the BBMP control room himself during the monsoon in the past, the minister, going a step ahead has taken measures to ensure officials won't sit and rest, while the rains mess up civic life.
Insiders in BBMP said that the minister's move, came after a few officials were found to be reacting in a casual away to public calls on rain related issues like water clogging, tree felling, and electric poll falling.
"A few officials were found to shift their responsibilities from one another," said a control room official. "This caused delay in rain related work, which needs an immediate intervention of those in top of hierarchy."
"We will not spare officials, who cause delay in attending any rain related work," added Ashok.

"If officials delay in attending their calls, people may call me directly. Such officials will be dealt with severe disciplinary action immediately."
He added that even officials who don't enter their action in the record book after attending the call will not be spared either."
