On Saturday the Mumbra police recorded the statement of the 33-year-old social worker who busted a gang that supplied leaked English question papers of the final FYJC exam to students of St Mary's School and Junior College, Kausa. However, cops are yet to register a case.

School authorities said the paper was leaked either by a school staff or a photo copy shop where it was printed. Sanket Chaudhary, sub-inspector, Mumbra police station, said, "We have sent the statement of Shahin Liyakat Khan, along with the school's complaint letter to the education department."

It was Khan's daughter, a student of the college, who spotted two boys from her college hand over sheets of paper to two girls just 10 minutes before the exam.

Khan, who filed the complaint on Saturday, said, "The fact that a solved question paper was leaked raises question about the integrity about the school authorities. I have named five college officials, including a teacher, involved in the racket."
