Muzaffarnagar: Four quintals of synthetic mawa, which was being carried in a bus here, has been seized, police said today.
Police intercepted the bus on Shamli-Muzaffarnagar highway near Babri police station and seized four quintals of mawa last evening.
Ahead of Diwali, the mawa, being carried in a bus from Shamli to Muzaffarnagar, was meant for preparation of sweets, they said. The accused escaped the scene, they said.
