Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to set a new record yet again. If demonetization and introducing GST was not enough, Narendra Modi will now become the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel.

In a report by the Times of India, Modi is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Tuesday, where he is expected to agree to military and cyber security deals. In his speech, Narendra Modi said that India and the Jewish state had ‘deep and centuries-old’ connections.
While he is visiting the country, his itinerary does not include visits to Ramallah and neither does it include meeting Palestinian leaders. Thought to be a turning point in India’s position towards Israel , the meeting is going to be focused on a few key points such as, defense deals, fighting terrorism together and working on modernizing its military to counter China and Pakistan.

As per Reuters, for years, India and Israel have been working closely together and India is currently Israel’s largest arms market – thought to be worth about $ 1billion per year.
