A moment from the production
Exploring life styles
When asked if In the Further Soil is a theatre, dance performance or a recital, Piali Ray, co-producer of the production says: "It is none of them. You can call it a performance that blends skills of several art forms like dancing, acting, music, writing and many more."
'In The Further Soil' explores the lifestyles of people in India and Europe and the progress of contemporary British Asian dance and music forms in the UK and their relation to their traditional roots in India. It has works of young writers, Tagore's poetry, contemporary and folk dance and various forms of music like Indian classical and jazz.u00a0u00a0
