BK Gupta, Commissioner of Police, DelhiWe are geared up for a safer 2011. Right now, our priority is to ensure a safe New Year eve for the women of Delhi.

We want to take strict action against eve-teasers and molesters, that's why we have deployed most of our force during the New Year celebrations. And such tight securities will be there for the safety of women throughout the year.

We are strengthening beat policing. Empowering the Special Cell is also in the priority list to counter
terrorist forces. CCTV surveillance can play a big role in prevention of crime and we are taking steps
to install and use such cameras.

Satyendra Garg, Joint Commissioner, Delhi Traffic Police
The traffic cops will be stricter, especially in drink and drive cases. We will be on the lookout for people who are violating the drink and drive laws.

In the last one week, we have caught around 400 people in drink and drive cases. We are planning a huge drive on December 31 and it will be continued in the new year as well. We are also gearing up to tackle accidents caused by the heavy fog. We have issued a traffic advisory recently to aware people. We have told people to keep their vehicles in good conditions and use fog lights.

Amitabh Yash, Noida SSP
The coming year will see a lot of transformation and better policing. We have listed 17 points which will help in making Noida a safer place and have already started implementing some projects.u00a0

We have started collecting information about every resident with the help of RWAs. All the details are being digitally and biometrically stored. We are also compiling data about the employees of the various offices. We want to digitise the city so that it can be used for better policing. We want to increase the strength to 4,000 in the next three years. We are trying to set up a dedicated cyber security team.
