We are strengthening beat policing. Empowering the Special Cell is also in the priority list to counter
terrorist forces. CCTV surveillance can play a big role in prevention of crime and we are taking steps
to install and use such cameras.

The traffic cops will be stricter, especially in drink and drive cases. We will be on the lookout for people who are violating the drink and drive laws.
In the last one week, we have caught around 400 people in drink and drive cases. We are planning a huge drive on December 31 and it will be continued in the new year as well. We are also gearing up to tackle accidents caused by the heavy fog. We have issued a traffic advisory recently to aware people. We have told people to keep their vehicles in good conditions and use fog lights.
