One remanded by ATS in Mumbai for alleged links with ISIS

The Esplanade Magistrate court on Sunday remanded Khalid Rizwan Nawazuddin to Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) custody till January 30.

Khalid was arrested by ATS on Saturday from Uttar Pradesh and presented before the holiday court for allegedly having links with ISIS. On asked by the court, whether he wants to confess or if there was any ill-treatment meted out against him, he replied, "galati ho gayi saab" (I have made a mistake).

ATS has also sought his custody for further investigations. Special Holiday Magistrate Amit Launkar then remanded him to custody till January 30 looking at the seriousness of the case.
