Jammu: Naved Yakub, a militant from Pakistan who was caught alive in last week’s Udhampur attack, has been sent to 14-days’ police custody.

Naved, after the first round of investigation had revealed that he hailed from Faisalabad, Pakistan and had been on Indian soil for the past 12 days.

National Intelligence Agency (NIA) chief Sharad Kumar had earlier stated that interrogation is going on with Naved, adding that it will take some time to get all the information.

Two BSF jawans were martyred in the Udhampur gun battle where a militant was also shot dead.
