Act I, Scene I:
You can easily tell from a bank passbook, if bad days have fallen upon a man.
Something similar happened when the government railway police at the Chhapra railway station in Bihar found two unclaimed air bags on board the S9 compartment of Vaishali Express. The bags contained the body of an 11-year-old boy, cut into three pieces.
There was also a passbook of Karur Vysya Bank, Noida branch, issued in the name of one Madhav. The Chhapra police called up its Noida counterpart to inform about the recovery.

Act I Scene II:
Sukanto Sen reported his 11-year-old son Rahul missing at Noida, Sector 39 police station on February 2. Sen also told the police that he had received a ransom call.
The police registered a case on February 3 and started investigations into the case. They tracked the call to the Gorakhpur railway station and called up the Uttar Pradesh police for help. "We sent a police team to Gorakhpur and watched the CCTV footage of the day. Sen, who went with us, identified the man calling from the PCO around the same time the ransom call was received as Rohan Jha," said Rajiv Mishra, Circle Officer, Noida police.
Jha was arrested from Gorakhpur and brought to Noida. He confessed to his crime and told the police that his friend Madhav also helped him.

Act I Scene III:
On the trail of a missing boy, the Noida police received a communication from Bihar police that they have recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy, cut into three pieces, from a train. They were also told that they recovered a passbook from the bags, in which the body was stuffed.
The Noida police matched the details of the missing boy with the communication and it was established that their quest has been answered. Having found the victim and the killer, one at least, the police is interrogating Jha to trace the whereabouts of his accomplice Madhav, who left his passbook with the body.

Act I Scene IV:
Rohan Jha and Madhav were tenants at Sukanto Sen's Noida Sector 39 house. They used to work with Rahul's mother at a garment export house in Noida. Before leaving the house, they developed some personal enmity with the boy's family and decided to teach them a lesson. They hatched a plan to kidnap Rahul and later killed him.
