Minister of State for Home Ramesh Bagwe feels he is being victimised again. Bagwe has been denied a passport on the basis of cases against him. A verification report sought by the passport office in January stated there are 15 cases registered against him. The Special Branch stated in its report that there are also four non-cognisable offences against him.
"I gave my passport for renewal two years ago. It's still pending," said Bagwe. "The verification report was probably related to that. People just want to tarnish my image."
Showing documents, he added, "There are three cases pending against me which are political in nature. I was acquitted in the rest." Bagwe admitted there was a conflict between the police commissioner and he. He also showed two February 11 letters by the then DCP Special Branch Ravindra Sengaonkar giving instructions for reduction in his police cover.
