Lawyer considers himself a big Elvis Presley fan and is very excited about the upcoming show. What he remembers most about Presley is how an entire generation adapted Presley's style after listening to his music.

"In his time, Elvis was one of the most powerful men on earth. He brought about a change in the attitude and lifestyle of people across the globe. When the world first saw him, most people wore formal suits and pants, but soon his style - the long hair, denims and informal jackets became a craze," says Lawyer, who himself witnessed the changes taking place.

"As a five year-old, I saw older boys defying norms to grow their hair or wear denims. They were punished for trying to follow Elvis' style but they went ahead and broke the rules anyway," Lawyer recalls.

Moving on from Elvis' memories, Lawyers talks about what he has planned for the tribute performance. He promises a show that will feature all of Elvis' popular numbers from the beginning of his career right till the end.

"The line up will also include songs which many might not have heard, some less popular ones. But it will be a complete tribute to the great musician." Lawyer is doubly excited about performing Elvis hits in Pune because he considers it a city with an international and vibrant audience. "The atmosphere here, is always wonderful," he remarks.

Even though Lawyer is excited about his performance, he rues that there are few places in the country that have scope for outdoor concerts and proper infrastructure. "Where is the place to perform?" he questions and points out that the lack of venues has led to many talented western musicians are not getting their due share. "Every one is so Bollywood-obsessed that they fail to see talented musicians and that's very sad," he concludes.

On: October 9, 7.30 pm onwards At Amphitheatre, Ishanya Mall, near Golf Course, Yerawada.
