The RT Nagar police have arrested over 45 people, who were caught playing cards last night, and have sent them to judicial custody.

The RT Nagar police have arrested over 45 people, who were caught playing cards last night, and have sent them to judicial custody.

Police said the accused have been misusing public money that was given for Ganesha procession.

Yesterday around 8 pm, a group of 50 men were playing cards after Ganesha visarjan with the money they had collected for Ganesha procession.

On getting information, the police raided the house near Feb Mall and caught them.

Police Inspector S Prabhushankar, from RT Nagar police station, said, "They were playing cards using Ganesha money. We raided the place and caught 45 people and also recovered Rs 61,000."
