The Excellence in Innovation award, a new category introduced in the Pune's Pride awards that have been given by the Residency Club for the last 21 years, will be presented to Santosh Ostwal
The Excellence in Innovation award, a new category introduced in the Pune's Pride awards that have been given by the Residency Club for the last 21 years, will be presented to Santosh Ostwal for his expertise in the field of wireless automation for irrigation systems and technology in the rural sector and formulating the Nano Ganesh, a mobile-based remote controller and monitor for water pumps.
The 2012 award will be presented on Sunday at the Residency Club.
On the occasion, Mahesh Hagavane, a body building champion, will also be honoured along with S S Thigale, Subodh Bhave, Vasant Gowariker, Satish Magar and Baba Adhav.
The lifetime award will be given to S B Mujumdar this year.
In addition to the awards, the club will also honour the sacrifice of those valiant soldiers who laid down their lives for the protection of the motherland by presenting sewing machines to the widows of these unsung heroes.
